Euan MacDonald

Our skipper! Euan has built Australiawide Boat Sales into one of the most successful boat brokerages in Australia. His formidable knowledge of all things nautical is the back-bone of the business honed from years sailing and travelling the world on Super-yachts and since arriving in Australia, cruising much of the local waters. His love of classic sailing vessels is evident with some of the beautiful timber yachts he's lovingly restored and more often than not raced with phenomenal success.

With a young family and his dedication to the local sailing community he's become something of a feature around the Manly fore-shore and no matter how busy is always happy to offer help and advice to anyone sharing his passion for sailing. Euan can often be seen sneaking out of the harbour aboard his favourite Nordic Folkboat for some fun in the bay.

Jeff Rowe

If the Australiawide team were to be described by landfall, Jeff would be our Rock of Gibraltar. With a dry wit, encyclopaedic boating knowledge and steadfast professionalism Jeff can proudly claim to be a central figure in the Scarborough region having helped literally hundreds of people realise their boating dreams. That craggy, weather beaten exterior belies a warm and generous personality, one that has successfully taken control of the Australiawide office at Newport Marina by simply being the best damn broker and the fact that he's always up for a good chat doesn't hurt either.

Detlef Bauer

Unlike the rest of the Australiawide team Detlef got into boats relatively late, beginning in his early 30's whilst working as a television producer, but when the bug hit there was no stopping him. Sailing out of the CYCA he cut his teeth on racing with numerous major blue water events under his belt. Detlef has also delivered yachts throughout the Pacific and Asia accumulating over 40,000 sea miles.

Fine food and wine is another passion and you can be confident that any time on land or water with the debonair Detlef will usually include a great meal and an even greater bottle of wine or two. Detlef is Mr Customer Service, and will always go the extra mile to ensure he exceeds his customers' expectations. Just check out his testimonials!

Derek Gibb

With literally decades of cruising/sailing experience under his belt, Derek has been a long term member of Wynnum Manly Yacht Club and keeps his beloved Westerley ketch there. He has bought and sold more boats than he cares to admit and is very experienced in yachts systems and the local QLD cruising grounds. His friendly non pushy style fits well within the Australiawide team and he really enjoys matching people to the right boat!

Ivan Rowe

In addition to enjoying Australia’s cruising grounds Ivan has a long racing history at the CYCA, MHYC and other Sydney clubs on many of the recognized boats in the current racing circuit. Having worked in our Manly Office in Brisbane, Ivan has returned to Sydney to establish the New South Wales office.

Australiawide NSW will operate as an online brokerage to enable greater coverage of Sydney’s waterways; the harbour, north to Pittwater and south to Port Hacking. And in conjunction with our two Queensland offices will offer a unique ability to promote your vessel across multiple markets.

Ivan has had considerable experience in both sailing and power boats, and is a real asset to our team. He is extremely knowledgeable on all things nautical and is only too happy to pass his knowledge on – he’s a real wealth of information and what’s more he knows how to sell boats!!!!
